The Fred Durst fronted band were dropped at the end of 2011 after their sixth studio album 'Gold Cobra' sold poorly. However, speaking to radio station 98.7 KissFM in New York (via Rolling Stone) last night (February 23), rapper Wayne said the band were now with him, following a 'spending spree'.
Cash Money is home to Drake and Nicki Minaj and during the interview, Wayne said that they are also closing a deal with singer Ashanti. Fred Durst confirmed his band's new home on Twitter, writing: "The game is missing danger, electricity and rock n roll!!!! Cash Money Limp Bizkit".
He continued: "It wasn't our step forward to make a big pop, smash radio record; we just didn't want to make that record at that time. We have been working for a while now to renavigate where we are going to take Limp Bizkit and finally we have been able to get off our label and become independent."
